1. What are MHI Committees?
MHI Committees are volunteer groups within the MHI Community where members work together to support and advance MHI’s mission through specific projects and initiatives.
2. Who is eligible to join an MHI Committee?
Only current MHI Community members are eligible to join a committee.
3. What kind of work do committee members do?
Committee members collaborate on tasks such as event planning, community engagement, research initiatives, content creation, and more, depending on the committee’s focus.
4. How much time is required to participate in a committee?
Time commitments vary by committee and project, but most committees require a few hours per month. Specific expectations will be shared when you join. There will be a 30 minute meeting monthly at the beginning of the committees to organize everyone, and the tasks you take on from there will be time-dependent on what you feel you are able to commit to.
5. How many committees can I join?
You can join as many committees as you’d like, as long as you can meet the time commitments and responsibilities for each.
6. Are there leadership opportunities within the committees?
Yes! Each committee has a committee president. You must be level 1 certified to be a committee president. The president is responsible for assigning tasks, following up on projects, and reporting progress to MHI.
7. What skills do I need to join a committee?
No specific skills are required! Committees value diverse talents and perspectives. Whether you’re a writer, researcher, organizer, or just passionate about MHI’s mission, there’s a place for you. Specific tasks given will come with trainings and tutorials if needed.

H2 Research Committee: Responsible for maintaining the H2 Research Database; H2 Education Committee: Responsible for educating on H2 and correcting misinformation by publishing MHI articles, podcasts, or videos as a guest contributor; H2 Awareness Committee: Responsible for spreading awareness of H2 and MHI
